Teachers should convert from this weekly format to a daily format appropriate to their section and give students a syllabus with that daily format. See examples of lesson plans and syllabi from FWP staff.
Introduce class and syllabus; think of ways to build community and get to know student names and preferred pronouns.
Introduce the intro letter and letter as a genre, look at some letter examples and have students determine features of that genre that they can apply to their writing (these activities are examples of "Modeling").
